(Toronto, ON – May 24, 2019) – From Italy with Love! This June TLN television is your ticket to see the biggest Italian stars in the latest box office hits direct from Italy. Enjoy a specially curated month-long Italian film festival TV event from June 1st – 30th. Every weekend catch a double feature Saturday and Sunday starting at noon (ET), only on TLN TV.
Skip the long lines and high-priced tickets and journey through Italy with a spectacular lineup of contemporary English subtitled films from the comfort of your own home! Take an endearing and witty look at the Peninsula from Turin (la Verità, Vi Spiego sull’Amore) before heading north to admire the Trentino mountains (Sconnessi). Then, sail through fabulous Venice in a fun adventure (Niente di Serio), and head south to immerse yourself in the many tales of Rome (Io C’è, Il Divo, Il Tuttofare). Next, explore the Basilicata region of Southern Italy (Un Paese Quasi Perfetto) before ending your journey in love-filled Naples (Troppo Napoletano).
Featuring some of the biggest names in Italian cinema, the From Italy with Love lineup includes one of Italy’s biggest comic actors, Fabio De Luigi who stars in the 2018 hit movie, Metti la Nonna in Freezer. And Italy’s leading actresses, Claudia Cardinale and Margherita Buy, deliver captivating performances in Niente di Serio and Io C’è, respectively.
