Entrepreneur and writer Roberto Ricci talks to TLN’s Camila Gonzalez about his bestselling fantasy series “The Red Harlequin” and how his Italian roots influenced the series combining the concepts of the Carnevale in addition to the Harlequin; the one who mocks society.

The five-book series is set in a medieval world in which everyone wears masks, a play on what our society is currently experiencing. Ricci describes the series as a connection between the real and fantasy world as it follows the journey of a teenager who is determined to reveal the truth about society.

Inaugural Edition of UniversalCare Strides for Seniors

TLN Media Group was a proud supporter of the inaugural UniversalCare Strides for Seniors. We proudly joined over a dozen organizations and hundreds of individuals on Saturday, October 2, 2021 for a 5km and 2.5km route throughout Downsview Park, offering a fun-filled day of scenic routes, food trucks, entertainment and activities for all ages.

The event was a great success raising nearly $275,000 for four charities in the Region: United Way – Greater Toronto, Humber River Hospital Foundation, Mackenzie Health Foundation, and Runnymede Healthcare Centre. The funds will go directly towards several programs in the region as well as supporting a better quality of life for the seniors in our lives.

Congratulations to the founders and partners on raising awareness and promoting health and happiness at any stage of life.

Latin American Heritage Month celebrations continue as TLN Host Camila Gonzalez connects with Peruvian-Canadian Senator Rosa Galvez to discuss Latin culture. Senator Galvez is proud to represent the Latin community and showcase the value and significance of the Latin American countries present in Canada today.

Italian-Canadian native harvests Bianco Primitivo grapes from his childhood in his Toronto backyard. The process requires extra care and protection for the grapes and is a long-standing tradition for the Italian community, also known as “Vendemmia”.
