Montreal Governors’ Ball

Giving and glamour come together at The Governors’ Ball. The newest members of the Foundation are introduced as the ritziest venues in the city host a night of fine cuisine, dancing and most importantly, fundraising. The mission of the Italian-Canadian Community Foundation is to raise funds for the aid and advancement of the Italian community and society at large. The Foundation’s activities include two ongoing streams of endeavour: the recruitment of Governors, which is the Foundation’s core and cornerstone; and the development and organization of fundraising events. In order to reach its goals, the Foundation remains open to new partnerships and proposals from its members and from other individuals and institutions.

Gala de Navidad 2011

La Asociación Hispana de Halton-Peel realizó una cena de Gala de Navidad que en el Pearson Convention Centre de Brampton el sábado 19 de Noviembre. Los asistentes disfrutaron de la excelente comida, bar abierto y música en vivo al mejor estilo Latino!

La Asociación Hispana de Halton-Peel comenzó con un grupo de personas Hispano-Canadienses en el año 2007. Hoy, la HPHA es una organización no-gubernamental sin fines de lucro, registrada con el gobierno Canadiense, cuyo objetivo principal es promover la cultura Hispana en las regiones de Halton y Peel.

SMILES OF INNOCENCE – NOVEMBER 5, 2011

On November 5th, TLN Telelatino extended a helping hand to raise funds for the Hospital for Sick Kids Foundation’s Smiles of Innocence Memorial Charity. TLN Telelatino was a proud supporter of the Smiles of Innocence Memorial Charity which celebrated its 14th anniversary this year by reaching close to their $3 million milestone for the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation.

LAMBA – November, 2011

LAMBA (The Latin American MBA Alumni Network) celebró su 1er aniversario con un evento de categoría donde se discutieron tópicos relevantes bajo el tema: Conectando Personas y Negocios a través de la Tecnología, a donde asistieron más de 200 invitados incluyendo altos ejecutivos de varias organizaciones, diplomáticos Latinoamericanos, alumnos y representantes de catalogadas escuelas de negocios. Entre los presentadores estaban Nicole German, Director de Marketing para Canadá y Latinoamérica de LinkIn, Duncan Stewart, Director de Investigaciones de Deloitte.

LAMBA nació como respuesta a una necesidad creciente en las corporaciones, escuelas de negocios y graduados de conectar comunidades de profesionales MBA Latinoamericanos viviendo en Canadá. Lo que empezó en el 2009 como eventos para establecer contacto entre hispanos que comparten la misma cultura, el mismo nivel de educación y exitosas carreras, se ha convertido en una plataforma para muchas organizaciones para conectarse con profesionales de raíces hispanas.

From Venice to Toronto, the 18th annual Venetian Ball took to the stage at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing arts.

Celebrating two important milestones: the 40th anniversary of Villa Charities and the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the spirit of Carnevale again inspired an immensely successful fundraising gala, raising a record breaking $1.25 million for the Villa Charities family of organizations.
