Telelatino teams up with York University to launch the second annual Mundo Canuck Bursary program.
For a second consecutive year, TLN Telelatino and York University were proud to spearhead an endowment program which awards an annual bursary to York undergrad students who write the best essays about Hispanic life in Canada.
The bursary encourages the development of diverse voices and a breadth of viewpoints regarding the confluence of the Hispanic Diaspora and day-to-day Canadian living. York students can logo on to www.yorku.ca for additional information on how to submit essays for 2011.

With over 2 Million dollars raised to date since 1996, TLN is a proud supporter the Caritas organization.
Via its annual telethon, TLN continues to help increase national awareness of the Caritas organizations therapeutic community based rehabilitation program which focuses on addiction, mental health and recovery.
With Caritas regional group centers in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, the annual national broadcast of the telethon is one of a series of TLN’s outreach initiatives to support its viewing audience and their communities.

TLN personality Lidia Bastianich came to Toronto to visit her fans and our cameras got up close and personal with her as we prepared for the Fall launch of her shows: Lidia’s Italy and the premiere of Lidia’s Family Table – back-to-back, weeknights beginning at 10:30pm.
Chilean Earthquake Relief Fund – 2010 | TLN Connects
In 2010 when Chile was struck by a massive earthquake, TLN Teleatino launching a national on air messaging campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ efforts to assist victims. TLN complemented it’s on air campaign with a special 10 week Best of Viña del Mar International Song Festival marathon which included direct information on how to donate immediate relief and recovery assistance to help victims.
Viña del Mar, considered to be the tourist capital of Chile, hosts an annual internationally recognized song festival for one week in February. Due to the earthquake tragedy, the final day of the festival was cancelled.

TLN Telelatino, the Hillcrest Village BIA y la Ciudad de of Toronto una vez más se unieron para presentarles la segunda parada del Salsa tour, SALSA ON ST. CLAIR, el festival latino más grande de Canadá para culminar la semana latina en Toronto.
Salsa on St. Clair reĂşne a más de 1.5 millones de amantes de este gĂ©nero  en las calles de Toronto desde su lanzamiento en el 2005. Gracias a todos los que nos acompañan en estos dos dĂas de diversiĂłn familiar, mĂşsica, comida y entretenimiento al mejor estilo latino.
