22-year-old Éderson currently plays for Serie A side Salernitana. So far this season, the Brazilian has made 15 appearances in the top flight of Italian football (13 starts, two substitute appearances), scoring two goals and providing one assist for the Granata.
Salernitana Sporting Director Walter Sabatini has a habit of discovering diamonds in the rough (including the likes of Javier Pastore, Josip Ilicic, Alexander Kolarov, Marquinhos, and Alisson Becker), and his latest find – who joined the club in January as a relative unknown from Corinthians – has quickly made a name for himself in the league. In addition to setting the tempo of the game, he has been an offensive force, helping the Granata climb from the depths of despair to the verge of a miraculous escape.
