Nicola Zalewski: Career & Statistics
20-year-old Zalewski currently plays for Serie A side Roma. So far this season, the Polish starlet has made 10 appearances in the top flight of Italian football, securing 442 minutes for the Giallorossi.
Born in Tivoli (40 kilometres east of Rome) to Polish parents, the former ball boy has grown into a sensation since being given the chance to prove himself by José Mourinho. The Portuguese coach’s increasing willingness to bring in players from Roma’s youth team has opened the door for the Pole to thrive, and he has not disappointed, beating out various other players in the team for a starting position.
Zalewski is also a Polish international, having secured a cap with the senior team on 5 September 2021 in a 7-1 thrashing of San Marino.
