TLN Media Group and Villa Charities Inc. presented Il Guibilo, a special preview concert at the Columbus Centre as the best soloists of the Toronto City Opera performed highlights of Cavalleria Rusticana.
President of Toronto City Opera Board, Mark Wilson, describes Cavalleria Rusticana as a celebration of Italian Heritage, and Toronto City Operas music, past, present, and future, just in time for June, celebrated as Italian Heritage Month.
Cavalleria Rusticana is an homage to Toronto’s own, Little Italy in the 1950’s, the quintessential immigrant experience and journey of many Italians.
Cavalleria Rusticana will be presented at the Fleck Dance Theater on June 2, 3, & 5, at the Harbourfront in Toronto.
