INGREDIENTS
– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 tsp. salt
– 3/4 to 1 cup water
DIRECTIONS
On a flat surface, thoroughly mix your salt into the whole wheat flour. Add in a little water at a time until your dough has a thick, uniform consistency. Roll them into little round balls and then roll them out flat until they are about ¼ inch thick. Lay dough on a skillet on high heat. It is very important that your skillet is very hot, otherwise you will end up with dry chapati. Place your flattened dough on the skillet and cook for approximately a minute or until the underside has brown spots. Flip the chapati over like a pancake and cook the other side for another minute. Remove from heat and continue. Makes 12 chapati.
