PREPARATION

Beef Burger
Add ground beef, egg, 2 tbsp. ground tortilla chips, garlic, onion, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, cilantro, and salt and pepper to a large bowl. Mix to combine. If burger mixture seems too moist, add 1 tbsp. more of ground tortilla chips.

Divide mixture into 4 balls and shape into 4 patties.

Preheat grill to high. Oil grill.

Brush burger patties with oil and add to the grill.

Cook, turning once, until meat is no longer pink, about 6 to 8 minutes per side.

Assembly
Add each burger to a bun. Garnish with toppings as desired, such lettuce, onion, tomato or tomato salsa, avocado slices or guacamole, pickled or fresh jalapeno, bacon slices and/or olives. Top with Nacho Cheese Sauce. Serve with tortilla chips and hot sauce.

Yield: 4 servings.
