INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 to 4 green onions, sliced
1 pound green beans, trimmed
1 red pepper, diced or sliced
1 tbsp. black bean garlic sauce (store-bought)
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. honey
1 to 2 tbsp. water
Handful cashews or almonds, roughly chopped
PREPARATION
Heat wok or large sauté pan over high heat. Add oil. When oil is hot, add green onions and stir-fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add green beans and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add red pepper and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add black bean sauce, honey, soy sauce and water. Cover and cook until beans are tender crisp, about 1 to 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped cashews or almonds.
Yield: 4 servings.
