As Canada's most influential multicultural media company, TLN Media Group has a nearly four-decade-long history of leadership in supporting and showcasing Canada's 1.5 million Spanish-speaking strong communities* with the goal of providing opportunities for cross-cultural appreciation and understanding.
We proudly honor the large mosaic of Latinx cultures, countries, people, and their contributions to our nation through our portfolio of TV channels, original productions, PSA awareness campaigns, local community coverage, longstanding event production history, and strategic community-building partnerships.
TLN Media Group is the proud co-founding partner of the TD Salsa in Toronto, featuring TD Salsa on St. Clair Festival!
Inspired by Calle Ocho, Miami’s annual Cuban street festival on 8th Street, the original Salsa on St. Clair Festival was conceived and launched in 2005 by TLN Network (Now TLN Media Group), in collaboration with the Hillcrest Village BIA as a local event centred around the emerging St. Clair West streetscape of small Latino restaurants and businesses. What started as a small two-day event, has grown into a nationally recognized FREE award-winning festival that attracts hundreds of thousands of people from across the region and beyond annually for nearly two decades - celebrating a milestone in 2024 with the 20th edition of the festival!
The success of the TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival, reflects the growing popularity of Spanish language and culture in Toronto, as well as the Hispanic influence south of the border. Spanish language is now the most popular foreign language in Canada according to Statistics Canada, and there are now about 1.5-million Spanish speakers according to Vividata.
